Once used to be known as the non-stop party island for very young budget travelers, late teens, early twenties, making all the rest feeling too old. Like a young and cheap alternative of Mykonos.
Ios is a lot more than that and nowadays everyone can fit in. Beautiful beaches and landscape, the walk from the port to the main town is amazing, there are a lot of nice restaurants and bars for every taste.
Although many might think - I surely did so before my visit - that this island is mainly for religious tourism due to impressive big and strategically placed monastery, this is only a part of its charm.
Patmos offers incredible landscapes and beautiful beaches of all kind and doesn't lack at all of entertainment of all kind. There are choices for everyone whether you are looking harmony and peace or have any kind of fun!
